We're pleased to share that Mr. Josh Blanton has been approved as the next Athletic Director for the Alexandria Community School Corporation. Josh brings a strong and well-rounded background that will continue to serve our school community well. His experience as a coach, athletic trainer, and leader in multiple athletic department administrative roles will be a tremendous asset as he works closely with our students, coaches, teachers, and support staff. A 2012 graduate of Alexandria High School, Josh earned his bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Ball State University and his Master of Science in Sports Management from Northern Illinois University. He has more than eight years of experience working with student-athletes at the junior/senior high school, collegiate, and clinical levels. Please join us in congratulating Josh and welcoming him into this new role. He is excited to continue supporting our student-athletes and collaborating with our staff to strengthen and grow our athletic programs.

There will be a Tiger Food Pantry today, Wednesday, December 10 at the Elementary School beginning at 4:00PM. Please enter the parking lot by the softball field after 3:30PM and circle around to the drop off awning.

Addressing chronic absenteeism is an all-hands-on-deck effort. It is our collective responsibility to reinforce the importance of regular school attendance and inspire students to stay engaged in their education.

We will be conducting our first semester bus evacuation drill tomorrow, Tuesday, August 19 after school. This will cause the school buses to run approximately 10 minutes late taking students home.

There will be a Tiger Food Pantry on Wednesday, August 13th at the elementary school. Food distribution will begin at 4:00PM under the car canopy.

We have a College Planning Night planned for Wednesday, August 13, @ 6:00 PM in the High School Cafeteria. High school students and their parents/guardians will want to attend, especially if they are unsure how they will pay for post-secondary education.
